When you book me you are booking not just a photographer but someone who wants to get to know you and wants your shoot to be the best experience possible.

If you have never had photos taken professionally before it can seem nerve wracking, you're thinking, what do I wear? What do I do? Does this make me look awkward?

The answers to these questions are where I come in and why you've hired me! I will direct you, I will help coordinate and plan outfits, as some things photograph better than others. I will play music for you and we will hang out and it will be so much fun!

Most people who start out nervous tell me by the end, if not shortly after our session begins that it's way easier than they thought.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of gear do you use?

I use two Canon 5D Mark IV's! I usually shoot with both with a different lens on each one for sessions and weddings. This allows me to be at-the- ready for close up and wide angle shots so I don't miss any moments.

How many images will you include?

I don't like to put an exact number on final images since every session is different but I do take a lot of photos so I can say that typically there will be about 100+ for shorter sessions, and 400-600 for weddings. I don't hold any images back but I won't send 10 of the same exact image and count that towards your gallery.

Your gallery will have variety and be carefully curated to tell the best story possible from your wedding day or other important milestone in your life.

Do you give raw unedited photos?

Editing and curating is a lot of the photography process and why you hired me as your photographer so no, I don't give RAWS. Shooting in RAW gives more detail in the photos allowing me to make edits. Photos will be in JPEG format when delivered to you. I will do my best to have my editing be consistent with my style of work but please keep in mind different lighting and scenarios can vary the outcome of photos.

How do payment schedules work?

When you book a regular session I require a 50% retainer to secure your date. The balance is due before of the day of the session.

Weddings and events will incur a separate 30% retainer of your final wedding package amount upon receipt of your invoice with the final amount due one month before your wedding.

How long have you been a photographer?

Since 2008. I began taking photos at the age of 10 with my first Canon camera. The little silver point and shoot camera sparked my love of photography. I always begged my family and friends to let me photograph them and still do! I photographed my first wedding at age 16.

Professionally, I have been a photographer for the past 10 years but I really was able to focus and start honing in on my art after I graduated from college and became a mom of two.

What is your turnaround time?

Sessions will be delivered within 2-3 weeks. Weddings will take 4-6 weeks. Larger galleries need more time so while I want to get your images back to you as soon as possible some galleries may need a little extra time to be complete.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Unless the weather is crazy and could damage my equipment or is unsafe we will carry on with the shoot. If the weather is bad enough and we need to cancel the shoot or the event, I will work with you to reschedule.

While I know these photos mean a lot to you please do still ask if it's possible to reschedule if you really don't want to shoot on a day where inclement weather is predicted.

Things can change at the last minute and a lot of the time amazing photos do come out of the most unpredictable weather!

What if I need to cancel/reschedule the shoot?

If you cancel a shoot the retainer fee is legally non-refundable and you will have to submit a new retainer fee for a canceled shoot. If the shoot must be rescheduled due to inclement weather or an extreme unforeseen circumstance then I will work with you to reschedule.
